Jonny Hayes Nominated For Player of the Year
Well done to Jonny Hayes ( Aberdeen ), who is one of four players nominated for the Player of the Year award in Scotland. Jonny, who made his senior international debut for Ireland against Switzerland in March, scored in Aberdeen's 4-1 win over Motherwell on Saturday, as did Adam Rooney, who returned after a 10 weeks absence due to injury.
Other former Cherry Orchard players who were also on the mark for their clubs at the weekend were Stephen Gleeson in Birmingham City's 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough and Stephen Quinn for Reading in a 1-2 defeat by Preston.
